Amanda Logan & Jacob Shaheen

Every wedding has a unique magic, and the Logan-Shaheen ceremony was a silvery example. Amanda Catherine Logan is the daughter of Mr. Bill and Kathy Logan, and was given in marriage by her father. The groom, Jacob Anthony Shaheen, is the son of Mr. Jim and Nikki Shaheen.

On November 18, 2017, their wedding ceremony took place at St. Peter Catholic Church with Father Francis Sofie officiating.

Like so many couples, this one met as students. They were introduced at Auburn University by their roommates in 2014. After that it didn’t take too much wandering through the tulips to convince both of them they ought to relax and enjoy it.

At the wedding the Maid of Honor was the bride’s best friend, Alex Kitchens , joined by Bridesmaids Elizabeth Karst, Rebecca Earnest, Caitlin Griffith and Haley Ellingsworth. One Junior Bridesmaid was a cousin, Elise Logan.
The Best Man was Andrew Meagher, the groom’s best friend. Other Groomsmen were his two brothers, J.T. and Jackson Shaheen. Joined by Adam Greenberg , Jackie Beaver and Chris Houseman.
The photographer, Chelsea Box, was busily keeping all the memories preserved and Tim Miller did an amazing job with all the floral arrangements.

Like all weddings this one had special moments. For Jacob it was the second he looked up and saw his beautiful bride-to-be, Amanda Catherine start down the aisle. For her it was the joy of feeling close friends and family encircling the bride and groom with delight in their happiness. How could she not be enchanted when she realized that everything about the reception was perfect: the food by the Caterer, Jennie Weller, the Cake Designer, Wendy Simmons, the Wedding Coordinator, Katy Blackburn, and the Florist Natural Creations. The Warehouse at Alley Station outdid themselves in providing the exact note of merry service, and the Elite DJ Service kept up a steady drumbeat of music for every to dance the night away.

Amanda further enjoyed her custom made ring as well as her beautiful wedding gown purchased from Denson in Montgomery.

The perfect touch came when the bride and groom each read a hand-written, note from the other – holding hands as they both stood around the corner from one another not to take a peak – prior to saying “I do.”

After a honeymoon to Jamaica, the couple now resides in Wilmington, N.C.
